Wisdom Walks

Coaching sessions held on local trails or quiet parks. Step away from your usual environment, let your body settle into a natural rhythm, and notice how ideas and clarity come with greater ease.

You already carry the wisdom you seek. I believe we each have a deep wellspring of knowledge within us, what is good for us, what is best for us, what is true for us. But that voice can be so hard to hear when we’re overwhelmed, emotionally charged, or trying to navigate it alone.  Out on the trail, the distractions soften. The rhythm of walking, the spaciousness of the sky, the grounding of the earth beneath your feet all make it easier to hear yourself again.

Nature becomes a co-facilitator—loosening old patterns, sparking clarity, and grounding insight in a way that is both calming and energizing. As I walk alongside you, I bring empathy, presence, and discerning questions that help you listen more deeply to yourself. Together, we step into a space larger than the day-to-day, where perspective widens, courage grows, and your truth becomes easier to recognize.

My coaching helps you turn down the volume on the external world and turn up the volume on your soul. I believe real transformation doesn’t come from overthinking; it comes from reconnecting: to your heart, to your body, to nature, to presence. That’s why I offer Wisdom Walks: to create a setting where clarity deepens, confidence strengthens, and new possibilities begin to unfold.

Why walking + coaching works
  • Gets you out of your usual surroundings. Whether you spend most of your day in an office, at home, or juggling family responsibilities, a change of scenery can shift your perspective and clear mental clutter. Natural settings restore “directed attention,” making it easier to focus and make decisions—this is the core of Attention Restoration Theory, backed by current research.

  • Lowers stress and supports heart health. Gentle walking in green spaces reduces heart rate and blood pressure and improves heart-rate variability—an indicator of nervous-system balance.

  • Boosts creativity. Walking—especially outdoors—can significantly increase creative thinking during and after the walk.

  • Fewer distractions, deeper conversations. Without screens, to-do lists, and constant interruptions, it’s easier to think clearly and speak openly. Walking meetings and conversations have been linked to greater engagement and openness.

  • It adds up. Just 120 minutes a week in nature is associated with better health and wellbeing.

What happens on a Wisdom Walk
  1. Arrive & land (5 minutes). We meet at an easy starting point, set an intention, and put phones on Do Not Disturb.

  2. Guided conversation (50 minutes). We walk at your pace while I ask thoughtful, spacious questions—helping you explore what matters most right now, uncover what’s getting in the way, and gain the clarity and confidence to take next steps.

  3. Pause & note (optional, ~5 minutes). If you’d like, we can stop briefly to capture insights before we finish.

  4. Close (5 minutes). We name one or two aligned actions and your plan to follow through.

Pace & terrain: Flat park paths or gentle trails—chosen to match your comfort and mobility.
Prefer something more challenging? Upon request, we can choose a longer or more rigorous hiking route for deeper immersion in nature and a stronger physical reset.
